To begin with the book is truly experiential, and no head-tripping cerebral ordeal. The treatment is thorough yet very light, underpinned as one would expect by Babs’ deep working knowledge of astrological symbolism. The book begins with a very useful exploration of the territory of guided imagery and experiential astrology. There’s helpful advice for beginners, practical advice before undertaking a journey and then charts of 8 sample volunteers.
The following chapters devote themselves to the actual journeys, from Sun through to Pluto. After supplying the essential symbolic and astrological core of the planetary symbol, each planet’s "journey text" is given in full. Guidelines are offered for interpretation. Babs’ own suggestions as to the astrological significators being constellated provide great insights into the astrological process which is where Babs’ years of experience really score. All solid stuff, clearly experienced at gut level by the volunteers and now made available for us all to benefit from their experiences. Do people born close together in time share the same character and destiny? Since Dane Rudhyar in 1935 suggested that the primary research tool for astrologers should be the study of unrelated people born close together in time, or "time twins" little has been done to explore this basic area of research. Now in this powerful pioneering study Peter Roberts, Professor of Systems Science at City University London, joins forces with consultant astrologer Helen Greengrass to present the systematic study of groups of time twins born on 6 different dates. Time twins were collected through appeals on radio, in the Radio Times and from articles in the press.
