FAES is an organisation consisting of Astrologers and Astrological Associations of Southern Europe (actually France, Italy, Spain, Greece and Cyprus). Its existence was confirmed in Mykonos on 11th June 2000. FAES was founded to promote the recognition and the development of Southern European Astrology. FOERDERVEREIN FACHBIBLIOTHEK ASTROLOGIE (FFA). The Fachbibliothek Astrologie (Astrology Expert Library) is a unique institution containing one of the biggest collections of astrology and branch related books in Germany. After the Second World War, the DAV (Deutscher Astrologen-Verband) (German Astrological Association)) re-constituted, and started organising the library. During the Nazi Regime, astrology had been banned, and astrologers been persecuted. Only a few books could be saved and found their place in the library. Due to personal estates and donations of authors and publishers, the stock increased gradually. So, today, the library contains rare and out of print books of invaluable worth for astrological work and research. To maintain this special library, in 1991, the FFA was founded, on initiative of Ulrike Voltmer, the former president of the DAV. The following year, the stock doubled: Edith Wangemann, president of the Kosmobiosophische Gesellschaft, donated parts of her own as well as the society’s library to the FFA. Thanks to donations of authors, publishers and friends of the library, it now contains more than 2500 books, including English, French, Italian and Russian books as well as journals, calendars, collections and tables. Linked to the library are instructional records and records of lectures, radio and TV broadcasts. Part of the duties of the FFA is acquiring and cataloguing new books and organising the lending. So, members of the FFA, DAV, and Kosmobiosophische Gesellschaft can profit by a modern and well-organised rental library.
